The interview with the constitutor of the “Interfraht” company
The “Interfraht” – is one of the well- known leaders on the Ukrainian market of transportation services. The company with a highly professional team has years of experience in transportation sphere and its own unique methods of transportation.
The most topical serviceability is transportation of oversized loads.
Tatiana Pushkina- the constitutor and the president of “Interfraht”, will tell us about the history of the company, directions of growth and plans for future.
- Tatiana, your company is a well-know at the present time. Tell us, please, how did it all begin?
Yes, it is true that right now we are well-known all over the world.
As we started our business we were small company.
While my studying in the university I was thinking about what I want to do in live and I realized that I want to work with people. Also, as an engineer, I wanted to do accountable work and make money with my own brain.
It happened, that in the end of 90th I met some entrepreneurs who provide client with dispatching services, they were looking for loads to carry.
I considered this work as very interesting and actual, all the more so I already had personal transport for carrying the loads.
- So you started doing oversized transportation from the very beginning?
No, at first it was just a normal transportation, there was a huge contention on that market, but any was it was very useful and effective for our company. You know, contention always makes you work harder , makes you think more and come up with something new.
In 2001 widescale construction of gas stations took place in Ukraine and storage capacity for petrochemical were needed, so I realized that this is exactly the direction of transportation that need to be developed. At that time our company did transportation of that capacities in more that 30 regions of Ukraine. That is how oversized transportation started.
- What are the main concepts of your company?
What the most important for us is to do our job in time, to put the transport “from today to today”. That is why some our clients work just with us, we know how to do it.
We have an enormous database of the carriers. The contacts with our partners are long-term and close, we have serious common serviceability. Thanks to all this we work fast and effectively.
Could you, please, give us an example of some incident, when you did your job really operatively?
Well, there was a thing when we had to transport oversized load- layout of a plane, from Nikolaev to Norway. We gave transport, draw all the papers, that is actually lasting process, and it happed so that unexpectedly our driver got flu and wasn’t able to drive the car. In 30 minutes we found another car for transportation.
- What kind of other irregular loads have you transported?
I can talk a lot on this topic , but if to name the most interesting oversized loads I would say, that it were rigs for oil companies, helicopters we transported from UK to Ukraine.
As you can see, oversized loads can be really various.
- What does work experience give you?
Well, it gives us an opportunity to predict, to foresee the situation. You know what to do, how to organize the transportation to make it pleasant for our clients.
We have the rule that immutably goes in our company: “We do our best to make our client be pleased with the work he pays for”.
- Do you really take the full responsibility for transportation?
Yes, we do take the whole responsibility for the load and for the work of our contractor. It is about every order we take. Our responsibility to any work we do is high and every member of our team works just in this way: Responsible, Painstakingl, Thoroughly.
To describe the work of our company, I would say with the word of Benjamin Franklin: “The key that is used always shines”.
- Tatiana, you do guarantee the high quality of your services, but any way , I think there can be some force major, isn’t it?
Yes, acts of God come up sometimes, but I do believe that there are no unsolvable problems.
If there are desire and aspiration to solve the problem, it will be solved.
I’ve tasted this postulate personally. Largely, the quality of the service depends on the accuracy of the assigned task. This is the guarantee of success.
For example, if the client says that he needs the load to be at 2 p.m. on the 12 of august, it will be there in time. That is why the client needs to have the clear vision of what he needs and what result he wants to get.
To make client take into account all the important details, we made the list of special questions which is called “Application for transportation”.
If the client will be maximum correct in his answers, he’ll get the result he wants. This all are about optimization of time and acts and also its total control. If the client is pleased, we are pleased as well.
- Tell us please about the “Interfraht”’s plans for future!
Our goal is to develop international transportation of oversized loads together with the normal loads as well. Not every company will try to force such a complicated task, but we do already have a good experience and vision of our future.
Also, our business goes wider, our clients appear with the new requests, and we always do new logistic tasks with a great pleaser. So, we will continue to develop our company in this way and will built new effective partnerships.
- You’ve talked about other transport companies, how do you concern your competitors?
I concern all of them in a good way! When you have competitors you will progress all the time. There is a very good dictum exists on this occasion: “The Art of the victory over rival is to amaze him with the work, he thinks he is better in”.
- Can you say that your company is successful?
OfcourseIcan! And this is not just my opinion. Long –term partnerships with the clients proves this. To succeed it doesn’t mean to do something special or exclusive. It means you need to do just want everyone does, but do it exclusively.
